LIQUID BIOPSY & MCED

A liquid biopsy is only as good as the cohort behind it.

Patient-matched plasma, buffy coat, and tumor tissue for liquid biopsy and oncology biomarker research. Source banked sets or plan a collection around your cohort, treatment status, and protocol.

WHAT WE DO

We bring the patients to your study.

Liquid biopsy development and oncology biomarker research depend on access to patients across disease stages, treatment histories, and demographic groups. Study cohorts should reflect the population your diagnostic or therapy is intended to serve.

Our physician network recruits and collects to your protocol. You define the cohort; we connect your study with eligible patients and coordinate specimen collection.

MATCHED SPECIMEN SETS

Compare biomarker signals in blood and tumor.

Patient-matched specimens let you compare findings across plasma, buffy coat, and tumor tissue from the same donor, supporting biomarker discovery, concordance studies, and oncology drug development.

BLOOD

Plasma and buffy coat

Banked plasma and matched buffy coat for comparison with the same donor’s tumor tissue. The team reviews collection and processing records against your analyte and assay requirements.

TUMOR TISSUE

FFPE and frozen tissue

FFPE tumor tissue for histologic and molecular assessment, with frozen tissue included in selected sets. Compare tissue findings with the matched plasma result.

Available matched specimen sets

COHORT DESIGN

Design the comparison your assay needs.

For early-detection work, define healthy, benign, and cancer cohorts around the intended-use population. We scope eligibility and collection for each group.

Healthy

Reference comparisons

Define eligibility and clinical-review criteria for reference specimens used to assess false-positive rates.

Benign

Nonmalignant conditions

Include relevant benign conditions to evaluate how the assay distinguishes them from cancer-associated findings.

Cancer

Disease-associated findings

Define cohorts by indication, stage, and treatment status to study the signals your assay measures.

Shared cohort criteria

  • Age, gender, and ethnicity
  • Treatment status
  • Collection
  • Handling

Define demographic matching and treatment-naive requirements across the cohorts. Plan consistent collection and handling to reduce pre-analytical variation.

CUSTOM COLLECTION

Define the collection around your study.

Work with the Biospecimen Solutions team to plan a direct collection through our physician network in the United States and Latin America. For tumor-adjacent normal tissue, other specimen types, or different combinations, we scope a protocol-specific collection.

Cohort design

Indication, stage, treatment status, and donor demographics, including requirements for treatment-naive cohorts.

Pre-analytical controls

Tube type, processing windows, centrifugation, and storage, specified for the analyte and assay. Discuss requirements for ctDNA, cfRNA, methylation, and fragmentomics.

Study data

Required clinical fields, collection timepoints, blood-to-tissue timing, and pathology review, captured per protocol.

Indications for collection planning

Discuss your protocol for these and other indications.

  • NSCLC
  • Breast
  • Colorectal
  • Prostate
  • Ovarian
  • Pancreatic
  • Bladder
  • Hepatocellular
  • Gastric/GEJ
  • Head and neck
